Recipe: PUMPKIN WITH JERKED BEEF – food for Ogum and Baiano

Ingredients:
- 2kg of jerked beef - brisket
- 3kg Pumpkin
- 1kg of tomatoes
- 3 onions
- garlic
- oil
Preparation:
Boil the jerked beef to remove the salt - 3 times and do not let it boil too much. Put the Pumpkin (chopped 2x3cm), with water covering the surface, to cook with little salt. Drain and reserve. Slice the tomato and onion. Simmer the jerked beef with garlic, onions and tomatoes with a little oil and tomato paste. Cover: seal the steam from the meat is enough, Don't need to put water. When the meat is tender, turn the stove off, then put the pumpkin on a baking tray and, above, the jerked beef.
